Reno's skate facilities are unsupervised. Park hours are 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. for lighted facilities; 7 a.m. to dusk at those facilities without lights. Users assume inherent risks by using skate park facilities, including, but not limited to serious personal injury and property damage. The City of Reno does not assume responsibility for injuries arising from any use of this facility. For more information contact Park Maintenance at 775-334-2270.
- Users are responsible for knowing all park rules. Failure to obey these and other park rules may result in a citation and/or being denied access to the facility.
- Users must comply with all reasonable instructions provided by an authorized agent or employee of the City of Reno pertaining to the use of the skateboard park.
- Stay in control. Maintain proper awareness and control of speed. Do not impede or collide with others. Be courteous and respect others.
- A user involved in a collision or accident is required to notify the Reno Park Maintenance Office at 775-334-2270 before the user leaves the vicinity, or if medical attention is sought, notification must be made as soon as possible. (Pursuant to NRS 455B.290 failure to provide the required notice is punishable as a misdemeanor.)
- Do not use when wet or rainy weather conditions exist.
- Do not use the skate park if a hazardous condition exists. Immediately report all hazards, vandalism and graffiti to the Reno Park Maintenance Office at 775-334-2270.
- You must conduct yourself in a manner that does not damage the skate park and does not interfere with the safe operation of the skate park or with the safety of other users of the skate park.
- Wear safety gear. Helmet, knee and elbow pads are required.
- Do not stop where you obstruct access or use of any of the skate park features.
- Do not place, drop or throw any object in the path of a user or on the surface of the skateboard park.
- Do not utilize additional obstacles within the park.
- Alcohol, tobacco and drug use is prohibited in the skate park. (Pursuant to NRS 455B.290, use of skate park while intoxicated or under the influence of a controlled substance is punishable as a misdemeanor).
- Scooters are prohibited.
- No glass containers of any kind are allowed.
- No food or beverages on the skate park surface.
- Amplified music is prohibited.
- Spectators should watch from outside the skate park surface.
- Keep your park clean. Throw litter in trash receptacles.
These rules and user responsibilities are consistent with the provisions of NRS Chapter 455B which governs use of skate parks.
