About Arts & Culture

The City of Reno is committed to making arts and culture accessible to everyone by offering a wide range of public art, preserving history, and supporting cultural organizations., Public Art is central to the city’s sustained commitment to our community’s vibrant arts appreciation and talent. The city proudly has over 185 pieces of permanent and temporary public artworks throughout Reno, with new works being added regularly. Multiple gallery spaces provide year-round views of Reno’s art scene with exhibits of local and regional artists and arts groups. Each year, the city also provides grants to local nonprofits to help expand arts and culture programs, enriching our community’s cultural landscape. Historic preservation is key to helping us better understand and appreciate Reno’s dynamic history through the careful identification, restoration, and adaptive reuse of our historic sites.
