City of Reno
Home MenuParks and Trails
The City of Reno offers 87 park facilities for your enjoyment and recreation. Our parks provide playgrounds, sports fields, splash pads, basketball and tennis courts, open turf and a variety of other recreational amenities for you to enjoy.
Trails and open space abound for residents and guests to explore. The scenic beauty is relaxing and refreshing. Public trees in the parks and along streets help to reduce energy consumption, improve air quality, and provide visual relief within the urban setting. Great memories begin in parks.

Pesticide-Free Parks

Residents can assist keeping our parks weed-free by volunteering through the Adopt a Park program in conjunction with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful.
Park Construction Updates
New parks and major park renovations are funded by a $1,000 fee (Residential Construction Tax) on every new home, paid when a builder applies for a residential building permit. Funds are restricted to the district in which the residential unit is located. Click the links below to learn about upcoming new and/or expanded parks funded through this program.
