City of Reno Introduces Signage to Reduce Horse-Vehicle Collisions
In an effort to reduce horse-vehicle collisions, the City of Reno has installed experimental signage on Veterans Parkway that reduces the posted speed limit from 45 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour at night (sunset to sunrise).

City of Reno responds to safety concerns related to horse activity in south Reno
Since October 1, 2017, four horses have been struck by vehicles and killed in the area of Veterans Parkway and Rio Wrangler Parkway. To address public safety concerns, in the last week the City of Reno has set up four mobile message boards in the area advising motorists to travel 35 MPH.
