Burning Man revelers will begin traveling through the Reno area in the coming weeks in preparation for the main event, which begins August 27, 2017 in the Black Rock Desert. The City of Reno recognizes the regional importance of Burning Man, and is providing residents a chance to get involved, even if they aren’t attending the famous annual week-long event on the playa.
