Contact Rebecca Venis

Rebecca Venis has served as the Director of Communications for the Biggest Little City since October of 2017.

Having worked in the communications industry in Reno for 25 years, Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge in both the public and private sectors. She has worked with a variety of organizations including the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, University of Nevada Athletics, the Bauserman Group and the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Prior to joining the team at the City, Rebecca served as the Manager of Air Service Development and Marketing for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. During her seven years at the Authority, Rebecca developed innovative marketing programs to engage the local community and grow air service access for the Reno-Tahoe region.

Having been a Reno resident for over 30 years, Rebecca is passionate about encouraging citizen participation in our local government and ensuring that all residents have access to City services, resources and information.

Rebecca received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada, Reno with minors in Women’s Studies and Business Administration. When she’s not in the office, you can find Rebecca spending time with her family and participating in one of the many outdoor activities the Reno-Tahoe region has to offer.
