City of Reno officials would like to thank everyone who has provided feedback related to the proposal to lease Teglia’s Paradise Park Activity Center. We have evaluated the initial feedback and determined that more research and community input is needed before developing long-term plans for both Teglia’s Paradise Park and Teglia’s Paradise Park Activity Center.
Looking ahead, staff will conduct more research and come back to residents with a comprehensive plan for community engagement and input related to both the park and the center.
This situation shows how important Reno’s Parks and Recreation offerings are to our residents. It takes input from all to continue creating a community that people are proud to call home.
Paradise Park Master Plan
Teglia’s Paradise Park is one of the City’s largest parks and houses important community resources including an activity center and a storm water retention pond system. There is not an existing master plan for this park, and as new opportunities for development and improvements are identified, it is important to have a master plan in place.
The department recently held a community wide survey to gather initial feedback related to the park. Those survey results were compiled and the feedback gathered was used to develop conceptual designs showing possible improvement options at the park.
Next, the developed conceptual designs will be presented at a community workshop, scheduled for Monday, September 30, starting at 4:30 pm at the Paradise Park Activity Center. We hope you can attend as your feedback is invaluable to this process.
