Biggest Little Egg Dive
Join us for our second annual Biggest Little Egg Dive! All ages are welcome to participate in this family friendly aquatic Easter Egg Hunt. Eggs will be floating, submerged, and hidden around the facility. Fun spring-themed activities will be taking place around the pool deck.

Lap the Lake
Challenge yourself and meet your goals this new year! Anyone over 14 years of age is encouraged to join us for our second annual Lap Swim Competition beginning on January 2, 2024!
- Location: Northwest Pool and/or Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Pool
- Cost: FREE!
- Last day to join is January 19, 2024 and the competition ends on March 29, 2024.

Where is the competition? You can swim laps during scheduled lap swim hours at either Northwest Pool or Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center to work towards 21.75 miles.

What is the duration of the competition/when does it end? The competition begins on January 2, 2024, the last day to join the fun is January 19, 2024. The competition will end on March 29, 2024.

How long is the swim? 21.75 miles total (the length of lake Tahoe); which is equal to 38,280 yards or 1,531 laps

How is distance being tracked? There will be an easily accessible clipboard at both Northwest and EMNECC pool where you can self report your distance each day in either laps or yards. A pool supervisor will import these details into a tracking sheet, and display your progress through a fun display at each site!

How far is a lap? A lap is considered one length of the pool and is 25 yards at both pools. For example, swimming down and then back to your starting point would be 2 laps and 50 yards.

I'm on a swim team or swim with Masters, can I count distances swam during these workouts? No, recorded distance must be swam during hours designated "Lap Lane" hours at both pools, not during any kind of organized work outs. You must pay admission or scan a pass in order to enter at these times.

Do I have to swim a certain style to count the laps? Nope! Are you in the water, moving back and forth from wall to wall? Count it!

How often should I swim to meet the goal? Up to you! You will be able to see the progress of all participating swimmers and be able to decide what is best for your goals.

How much does it cost? It’s free to register for the activity. You’ll just need to pay a drop-in or scan a pass like normal each time you come in for lap swim.

What are the prizes? The top three finalists will get a prize ranging from passes to swimming gear. Everyone who completes the distance by March 29 will get a free swim pass!
