Northern Nevada Continuum of Care

The Northern Nevada Continuum of Care logo

The mission of the Northern Nevada Continuum of Care is to ensure homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Nevada has three Continuum of Cares (CoCs). The largest is Clark County. The rural counties are covered by a balance of state CoC covering 15 of Nevada’s 17 counties. The Northern Nevada CoC covers all of Washoe County. CoCs across the nation function as the entity to organize efforts made by local governments, non-profits, and stakeholder groups to end homelessness in their region.

The CoC is made up of a governance board known as the Northern Nevada CoC Leadership Council, a stakeholder group known as The Regional Alliance to end Homelessness (RAH) formerly (RAAH), as well as working committees such as groups focusing on Youth, Data, Veterans, Advocacy, and Diversion.

For more information on participating in the CoC stakeholder or working groups contact RegionalHomelessServices@washoecounty.gov.

Washoe County is maintaining a website with up to date information regarding the CoC.  Visit the Washoe County CoC website.

The Point in Time Count

The Point in Time Count (PIT) is conducted annually and is required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The PIT takes place within the last 10 days of January every year, and our CoC works with the other two CoCs in Nevada to ensure all statewide counts take place on the same day.
