The Regional Water Planning Commission RWPC was created in 1995 to provide a forum and method for the planning and coordination of water use, flood control and wastewater management throughout the region.
The RWPC is comprised of 9 voting members and alternates, and 8 non-voting members and alternates. 

Meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of each month, at 1:30 p.m., at the Washoe County Administrative Complex, at 9th and Wells, in the County Commission Chambers (unless otherwise posted). All meetings are open to the public.
