Participant Agreement
REENERGIZE RENO is an ambitious program to improve the efficiency of commercial, industrial, and multifamily buildings 20 percent by 2025. The program will help improve energy and water efficiency in large buildings and reduce climate pollution. Investments in cost-effective, building efficiency strategies will stimulate innovation, bolster our economy and create local, highly skilled jobs. Learn more about ReEnergize Reno.
The City of Reno Agrees to Provide:
- Technical assistance on benchmarking building performance and energy and water efficiency;
- Education on a range of topics—from benchmarking building performance and conducting financial grade audits, to LEEDTM and ENERGY STAR® certification programs, and to PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing to 2018 International Energy Conservation Code—through city-hosted workshops;
- Financing options through information on accessing financing and federal, state, and local incentives;
- Effective solutions to energy and water efficiency through city-facilitated networking opportunities; and
- Recognition to showcase leadership in building efficiency and innovative solutions.
ReEnergize Reno Participants Agree to:
- Select at least one showcase building to participate;
- Track energy and water use data for selected properties through the ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager (solid waste and recyclables are optional);
- Share* with the city the energy and water use data for selected properties; and
*All data is aggregated and anonymized before being publicly reported. Unless Participant agrees otherwise, utility data will be treated confidentially.
- Reduce energy and water use 20 percent by 2025.
