The City and RTC worked together to conduct the Micromobility Pilot Project from June through October of 2022 with the purpose of introducing micromobility-specific infrastructure to the community, soliciting feedback, and informing future projects in the City of Reno. The City received over 1,000 survey responses from the community.
Micromobility refers to a range of small, lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters that typically operate at speeds of less than 20 mph and are driven by the user.
Using facilities such as bike rails, reduced lane widths, cycle tracks, lane closures, restriping, protected intersections and more, the pilot project will connect Keystone Avenue to Evans Avenue/University of Nevada via 5th Street and downtown Reno to Midtown via Virginia Street. Check out the Micromobility User Guide.
