McKinley Gallery presents “Spring Reimagined,” an exhibition by the Sierra Watercolor Society. The works in this show bring a feeling of lushness and abundance to the viewer. The pieces range from delicate and subtle to vibrant and bold. Many are traditional, realistic renderings while some are modern abstractions. Each piece is meticulous, layered, and beautiful. All the subjects of the works bring to mind the warmth and growth of spring.
The Sierra Watercolor Society (SWS) is a non-profit organization with the mission to foster, sustain, and increase interest and skills in the art of water-media painting through the sponsorship of meetings, educational programs, displays, and exhibitions. SWS shares the common love of water-media among its members and the public, and also promotes the attainment and maintenance of a high standard of art by its members. The members come from all walks of life and give back to the community through educational programs and volunteer work.
