Damonte Ranch Neighborhood Clean Up
November 13, 2021 9am-1pm
Damonte Ranch High School

Join Reno Councilmember Naomi Duerr and the Ward 2 Neighborhood Advisory Board for a cleanup in your neighborhood. During this time you are invited to participate by bringing trash, yard waste, household hazardous waste, and other large items you would like to dispose.

The City of Reno has partnered with HERO Environmental Services to help you dispose of your hazardous waste on site. One bin will be dedicated to household hazardous waste. A HERO staff member will be on site to help determine what is eligible.

This includes items like:

• Fluorescent light bulbs (including CFLs)
• Fuels (gasoline, propane, diesel)
• Mercury
• Paints (oil-based or some anti-mildew
latex)
• Pesticides
• Pool chlorine and acid
• Wood stains or varnishes
• Corrosive Cleaner

If you have any questions, please contact Nic Ciccone at CicconeN@Reno.gov. If you are unable to attend and would like to drop off green waste at another time, we encourage you to check out local commercial composting facilities, RT Donovan or Full Circle Compost.

Items accepted:

• Large trash and debris
• Tires
• Small appliances
• Grass clippings*
• Tree and hedge trimmings*
• Bicycles*
• Hazardous Material**

Items not accepted:

• Refrigerators or
microwaves
• Electronics (such as
televisions and computers)

*Green waste will be delivered to a commercial composting facility. Volunteers will be present to ensure the waste is uncontaminated. Bicycles will be donated.
