The City of Reno completed its redistricting process in September 2023. The City Council selected a new ward map that transitions the City from five to six wards in 2024.

Ward Map

Following a comprehensive community engagement process, the Reno City Council selected Final Map Option E as the six-ward map.

This map will take effect in January 2024 for all purposes necessary to carry out the 2024 election cycle; this includes candidate filing and voting.

For all other purposes, the map will go into effect when the results of the 2024 election are declared.

Impacts to You

Moving from five to six wards may affect who represents you on the City Council and in which ward you will vote in future election cycles. Use our new map comparison tool to look up your address and learn the following information:

Use the existing five-ward map to:

  • Find what ward you live in and who represents you now.

Use the new six-ward map to:

  • See what ward you will be voting in during future elections. Voters in wards 1, 3, 5, and 6 will be voting during the 2024 election cycle.
  • View what ward you will live in after the 2024 election and which ward will represent you.
