Use this form to search for existing public records. The items found in the search options below are available to the public in totality without exemption or redaction in accordance with State Retention Schedules.

There are additional records available to the public that may require review prior to public release. If you are unable to find a specific record, you may submit a request through our Public Records Request Portal.

If searching for either Boards and Commissions documents or Council Meeting and Approved Minutes documents:

  • You must enter a "Search Term" as a requirement
  • You can search by "Search Term" only or in combination with one of the keyword fields below the "Search Term" field
    • For example:
      • Search by "Elm Street" or "Truckee Meadows" under the "Search Term" field only; or,
      • Search by "Elm Street" under the "Search Term" field in combination with "5/11/2022" under the "Council Date" field.
        • This will provide a more filtered hit list

For the best searching results, consider the following for all documents you are searching:

  • For each search, a minimum of one search field is required.
    • Ex: Agreements:
      • Name of Agreement, Council Date, or Item Number must be entered to conduct a search
  • The more specific your search, the more accurate the results will be.
    • Search fields are not case-sensitive
    • Search specific, unique words
    • An asterisk (*) acts as a wildcard - If you know that the word “pine” is in the name of a project or subject; using an asterisk (*) before, after, or around the word will return different results
      • *pine - Will search for words that end in “pine”
      • pine* - Will search for words that starts with “pine”
      • *pine* - Will search for words that include “pine”
      • Search fields that require a date or number only, will not accept a wild card search
