The first three months of 2024 was full of stakeholder meetings and new zoning code initiatives for the City of Reno. There are currently three initiatives that will be brought to City Council in the coming months. These initiatives went before the Reno Planning Commission on February 7th. The Planning Commission supported the staff recommendations and voted to intensify the housing initiatives even further. Council directed staff to do more public outreach to inform the public about the changes that Planning Commission is recommending to City Council. Staff will be holding 4 virtual public meetings regarding these changes. The same information will be given at each meeting. The four separate meetings dates/times are provided to allow for flexibility with the public's schedule.
