The City of Reno and the Downtown Reno Partnership (DRP) invite the public to a free Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Reno City Plaza. First Street between Virginia Street and University Way will be closed from 4 to 8 p.m.

Coffee, hot cocoa and crepes will be available for purchase at the event. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. The Tree Lighting, with a countdown led by Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Reno City Council, is scheduled for around 5:30 p.m. Performances by THE ROW's Christmas Wonderland, Kat Heart, and Khalilah Cage will help make the season bright.
