McKissick, Maureen

  • City Manager's Office
  • Strategic Development Administrator
  • (775) 334-2253

Maureen has been called a “rock star” by the City Manager for her efforts to secure Reno as one of 100 cities chosen by IBM as a 2013 Smarter Cities Challenge grant recipient. She has a knack for tenaciously seeking outside funding for City programs and innovations.

As part of the Office of Management and Budget and the City’s management team, Maureen oversees the development and management of the City’s grants and manages the City’s federal legislative affairs. Maureen is also responsible for integrating the City Council’s priorities with departmental programs and the development of citywide strategies to assist management in evaluating its progress in implementing the Council’s goals.

Maureen joined the City in early 2004 and since that time has worked on several highly challenging multi-year projects, including the construction and operation of the Community Assistance Center, the administration of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the historic preservation of a range of City facilities, and the implementation of Congressionally-funded special projects.
