Water Fitness

Water Fitness Schedule 2014 Summer

Water is a great environment for exercise. Buoyancy takes the impact off of leg joints allowing exercises to improve muscular strength, balance and fitness levels. Get high-impact results from a low-impact workout. No swimming skills are required.

Kayak Roll in Pool
Bring your gear to the Northwest Pool for Kayak Roll Sessions with other kayaking enthusiasts on Monday nights from 8 - 9:30 p.m.  Drop-in prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youth/seniors.  For more information call 775-334-2203.

American Red Cross Training

Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor courses are offered in the fall, winter and spring by certified American Red Cross trainers.  The minimum age for Lifeguard Training is 15, and for WSI it is 17.  Once certified, participants are eligible to work in City of Reno aquatic centers or they can take their certification to another aquatic facility.  For more information call  Mike Freeman at (775) 334-2203 or email at freemanm@reno.gov.
