Changes to Licenses

Whether it's a change of business location, ownership or business entity, remember to file your changes with the City of Reno Business License Division. Several of these changes also require changing your information with the Secretary of State, Department of Taxation, Washoe County Fictitious Name and/or getting a Background Check. Please be sure to include all applicable forms and fees when requesting changes.

How-To Change The Following:

Business Description: Requires Supplemental Application and Business Review Form. Home based businesses must also review Home Based Business Criteria. ($16 to $46 – Home based; $86 to $344 – Commercial)

Business Entity : Requires Change Form and SIIS Compliance Form. Must also include State Business License Certificate, Taxation Registration and Washoe County's DBA Certificate. ($16)

Licensee – Non Privileged License: Requires Change Form. Must also include authorization letter from current licensee. ($16)

Licensee – Privileged License: Requires Privileged Application and Personal History Statement. ($151)

Mailing Address: Submit online Mailing Address Change Request Form ($0)

Business Name: Requires Change Form and SIIS Compliance Form. Must also include State Business License Certificate, Taxation Registration and Washoe County's DBA Certificate. ($16)

Business Ownership: Requires new application ($85 to $412+)

Physical Location: Requires Change Form and Business Review Form. Home based businesses must also review Home Based Business Criteria. ($16 to $46 – Home based; $86 to $344 – Commercial)

Business Sold or Out of Business: Complete and submit online form.
