Reno Fire Department to receive $5,000 grant

Donation funds Fire Prevention and Community Education Program

Post Date:07/14/2014 8:41 AM
With the knowledge that fire safety education programs are proven to successfully prevent injuries and death, CITA Insurance Services has partnered with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company to donate $5,000 to the Reno Fire Department.

CITA was introduced to the Reno Fire Department through a partnership with Dickson Realty. The grant will fund printed and multimedia materials to help improve community safety. Through its Fire Prevention and Community Education Program, the Reno Fire Department provides education at both the individual and community level to all age ranges.

Reno Fire Department officials, firefighters, executives, and employees from CITA Insurance Services and Fireman’s Fund will come together tomorrow for a public event during which the grant check will be presented:

Where: Damonte Ranch Fire Station 12, 1190 Steamboat Parkway in Reno.
When: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 2 p.m.

“This grant enhances a valuable program that helps save lives,” Reno Fire Chief Michael Hernandez says. “We deeply appreciate this contribution from CITA Insurance and Fireman’s Fund, which supports our efforts to enhance the safety of Reno residents, businesses, and visitors.”
